Combine Dragnet and Cops and you’ll have The Roving Mike. For more than a year beginning in March 1951, Zindler prowled the back streets of Houston chasing crime scenes. Suspects, victims, witnesses and police officers all make up the cast of characters in this drama, though there’s nothing scripted about it.
